A hilltop legacy South Yorkshire DA site that has stunning views of Scarborough from the top of Olivers Mount. A massive well maintained field. This is an ideal base for many attractions along the Yorkshire East Coast, with a 40 minute walk into the town from the site. Bridlington and Filey are nearby by car and Whitby is around a 45 minute drive away.
For those who like their food cooked by someone else, the Olivers Mount Restaurant is next to the camping field near the monument. It’s only a few minutes walk without any hills to climb.
Campers are advised to contact the Steward on the day before travelling to let them know you will be on your way and for you to be made aware of any traffic or weather problems. (Call Not required for those attending on the opening date) However, this is a very large camping field and there is usually plenty of space.
To check availability the day before you intend to travel, please use the site contact number to speak to a Steward. The Stewards number will be published on this website and the SYDA Facebook page when the Site has been set up.
Your Stewards are: The Manchester Family.
All Temporary Holiday Site Stewards are in possession of a First Aid Kit and a Defibrillator.
PLEASE NOTE: At landowners request. No firepits or floor disposable barbecues are allowed on any S.Y.D.A sites
