About the Event

The Abbey School provides a convenient and relaxed base for this EKDA meet in Faversham, offering an ideal location for enjoying one of Kent’s most well-known and long-established festivals.

A short walk from the site takes you into Faversham town centre, where the Faversham Hop Festival takes place each year. The festival is spread across the town rather than being based at a single venue, with activity centred around the historic streets, parks, pubs, and open spaces.

Across the festival weekend there is a full programme of live music and entertainment, typically running across multiple stages around the town, alongside beer tents, food stalls, artisan markets, street performers, and family-friendly activities. The festival usually offers a wide mix of music styles and entertainment throughout the day and into the evening.

These dates usually coincide with the Faversham Hop Festival, which is traditionally held on the first weekend of September. Festival dates and programmes are confirmed closer to the time, so watch this space for final details. Tickets and full event information are published by the organisers via the official website:
https://www.favershamhopfestival.org/

The main festival areas are around a 10–15 minute walk from the campsite, making it easy to come and go during the weekend. Back on site, the atmosphere remains relaxed and sociable, with festival sounds often drifting across in the distance, adding to the weekend feel without overwhelming the campsite itself.

There’s also plenty to enjoy locally outside of the festival. Faversham town centre offers historic streets, independent shops, cafés, and pubs, along with riverside and creekside walks if you want a quieter break from the crowds.

Whether you’re heading into town to enjoy the Hop Festival, exploring Faversham, or simply relaxing on site with good company, this meet offers a great mix of Kent heritage, festival atmosphere, and a convenient, easy-going place to stay.
