The site is set in National Trust woodland and there are several scenic walks to be had. Nearby facilities include a farm shop, supermarket and cafe. 5miles to Kendal, 1 mile to Sizergh Castle. Full CAMC facilities on site.
Torchlight Festival on Saturday 26 September in the local town of Kendal. AGM on Saturday 3 October at Pine Lakes.

Leave the M6 at Jct 36 onto the A590 dual carriageway (signposted South Lakes). In about 3.25 miles leave via slip road signposted Milnthorpe, Barrow. At the roundabout follow international Caravan Site signs and turn into a road signposted Sedgwick. In 130 meters turn left into the lane parallel with River Kent. At the junction fork right and continue along the riverside. The site entrance is on the left in about 0.5 miles. This is a narrow single track, with passing places.
