We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand-new section of the Meets & Rallies website: Venues.
The new Venues section has been created to make it easier for event organisers to find suitable locations for their rallies, meets and events, while also giving campsites and landowners a simple, completely free way to showcase their venue to organisers looking for somewhere to hold an event.
It’s only just gone live, so we’re at the beginning of what we hope will become a really useful part of Meets & Rallies.
Finding the right venue can be one of the biggest challenges when organising a rally or event.
You might need a site that can accommodate a particular number of units, has electric pitches, toilets and showers, accepts motorhomes and caravans, allows tents, has a clubhouse or other facilities, or simply has plenty of space for a large group.
The new Venues section is designed to make that search much easier.
Rather than scrolling through hundreds of sites and trying to work out whether they meet your requirements, you can use our filter system to narrow down the results.
Simply select the facilities, pitch types, unit types and other requirements you’re looking for, and the search results will only show venues that match those criteria.
Whether you’re planning a small club meet, a large rally, a weekend gathering or another type of event, the aim is to help you discover venues that could be suitable for your requirements.
And just like searching for events on Meets & Rallies, searching for venues is completely free.
The new Venues section isn’t just for organisers.
If you’re a campsite owner, landowner or venue operator and you’re able to accommodate rallies, meets or other events, you can now advertise your venue on Meets & Rallies completely free of charge.
Your venue listing can include lots of useful information to help organisers decide whether your site could be suitable for their event, including:
Once you’ve created your listing, you can log into your account at any time and update or change the information.
This means you can keep your listing current as your facilities, pitch availability or requirements change.
If you have a campsite or land that can accommodate rallies and events, we’d love to have you listed.
Create your free venue listing
It only takes a few minutes to get started. Simply create an account and then add your venue.
One of the things we wanted to make sure of with this new feature is that it remains accessible to everyone.
There is no charge for venues to create a listing, and there is no charge for organisers to search for venues.
Our aim is to bring the two sides together: organisers looking for somewhere to hold their next event and venues looking for groups to fill their site.
Hopefully, this will also help organisers discover venues they may not have considered before, while giving campsite and landowners an opportunity to attract new events.
The Venues section has only been live for a short time, so it’s very much the start of the journey.
We have plenty of ideas for how we can develop the functionality further and make the service even more useful for both organisers and venue owners.
But we’d also like to hear from the people actually using it.
