The Walking and Cycling Section (WACs) is a special interest section of the Camping and Caravanning Club. The club welcomes members to organised meets across the United Kingdom where participants can take part in group walks and cycle rides, explore scenic routes at their own pace, or unwind with likeminded outdoor enthusiasts.
The section is organised into two primary regional groups: Wessex, covering from the North Cotswolds to the South Coast of England, and Peakland, based around the Derbyshire area. Most weekend meets feature led walks ranging between 4 and 10 miles alongside cycling rides averaging 15 to 25 miles. An annual Festival of Walking and Cycling is also hosted each May for members nationwide.
To join the Walking and Cycling Section, individuals must be members of the Camping and Caravanning Club. Once affiliated with the main club, members can register for the Walking and Cycling Section by completing the membership form accessible through the club website.
