Froggatts Pools Fishing Meet

Why not sit back and Relax at Froggatts Pools. This is a family-run coarse fishery located on Featherknowle Farm in Ashford Bowdler, near Ludlow. It is not a natural pool or a nature reserve, but a series of man-made, well-stocked pools designed for anglers. The fishery has been in the same family for ten generations.

 The fishery consists of five well-maintained pools designed to cater to various coarse fishing needs, from novice anglers to experienced match fishermen. A key feature is the “Willows Specimen Pool,” which holds larger fish, including carp up to 30 pounds and catfish up to 28 pounds.

Other pools, such as the Marlpit and Lodge Pools, are stocked with a variety of coarse fish, including carp, bream, tench, roach, and chub. These pools are used for regular open matches.  While the focus is on fishing, the site provides some facilities, and there is a farm shop in the vicinity.
