Kineton, Warwickshire is a village and civil parish in south-east Warwickshire, England, set on the River Dene within the Stratford-on-Avon district. It has a long history dating back to Saxon times, first recorded in AD 969, and was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Originally an important market settlement, today it is a picturesque rural village with local shops, pubs, and community amenities set amidst attractive countryside.
Kineton lies about 10 miles from Banbury, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon, and nearby attractions include historic sites such as St Peter’s Church, earthworks of a medieval motte-and-bailey known as King John’s Castle, and the landscape linked to the Battle of Edgehill from the English Civil War.
