Our Working Meets are always popular and tend to fill up quickly. They are open to members who enjoy coming together to support the Camping and Caravanning Club by generously volunteering some time to help care for the Canterbury Club Site.
In return for your volunteer time, the meet is completely free, with electricity, toilets, and showers included. A complimentary lunch is also provided on Saturday. These weekends are as much about the company as the work; working together, sharing skills, and enjoying a friendly, community atmosphere. Places are limited and early booking is recommended.
The tasks are varied and suitable for all abilities, from light maintenance, painting, and general tidying, to de-weeding, organising, or being the all-important tea and coffee maker. Whether you are handy with a paint brush or power drill, or simply enjoy being outdoors and lending a hand, there is something for everyone. Bring your tools, litter pickers, and can-do attitude.
